The operation of the WRA is governed by our constitution. It is available here.

This constitution was approved at our AGM on 8 March 2020. It replaced the previous version which had been in force since the creation of the WRA in 1996.

The Estate map associated with the constitution is available here. It is also shown on the Area Maps page.

The new constitution contained a number of updates and improvements to reflect changed circumstances and experience gained since the WRA was founded. Its content reflects comments and suggestions by residents during a six-month consultation period on earlier drafts. The new version was approved unanimously at our AGM.

The new constitution sets out, among other things:

  • Objects of the WRA

  • Powers of the WRA and its Executive Committee

  • Rules governing membership and subscriptions

  • Handling of meetings, resolutions and voting

  • Composition and duties of the Executive Committee

  • Declarations of interest

  • Handling and uses of funds

  • Reporting to members
